Hurley’s town board has approved a contract for a waste diversion plan, despite the concerns expressed by two members. The board approved the first phase of a contract with Greenway Environmental Services for nearly $20,000…..

Boms said at the March 26 meeting that a proposal from another firm, Community Compost Company, had been withheld. Greenway was the only bidder.

“I’ve recently received this document tonight that there was another company that submitted an application in response to this RFQ,” Simpson said, waving the proposal from Community Compost in Kerhonkson. “When did this occur?”
