Hurley hires engineer to help deal with ex-landfill contamination - by Daily Freeman

The decision to use Crawford & Associates was made last week during a Town Board meeting. It will center on the findings that perfluorooctanoic (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) have been detected in private wells down-gradient of the land Dug Hill Road former dump.

There was no specific amount listed in the contract, with fees determined by a rate schedule based on the studies needed.
